I have been working out at the Summit since I met my husband, Steve. I have sort of always been into fitness, and after meeting Steve, it really clicked with me. I took time off and, unfortunately, fell out of shape after my first pregnancy trying off-and-on diets and at-home programs for a few years. Eventually, I decided it was time to hire a competition coach to help keep me accountable and dial in my training and diet.After my first child, Jackson, was born we started to go to the Summit more often, and I got back into wanting to do competitions again. Then, I got pregnant with our 2nd child, Reagan. I continued working out throughout both of my pregnancies. Even the day before I was induced, I was at the Summit.We love the Summit for many reasons. I am at the gym by 6am some week days, and it’s nice to see a lot of the same faces. Plus, the daycare is a huge help! Over the last few years, I continued to stick with my coaches’ training and diet program, and boy was it hard at times. But then this year, after I felt I could actually do this, I decided the time was right to finally step on stage again! It was a whole lot of work but so worth it, and it was as exciting as I remember. I’m hooked! We have been informed that the new pool pump will be installed on Monday, October 18th. Once the pump is installed, the chemical levels need to be adjusted and the pool brought back up to temperature. So the pool should be ready for use by 5am on Wednesday October 20th. "I’ve always wanted to get into shape my whole life, but I just couldn’t stick to a consistent diet or workout schedule. I just got to use to sitting around doing nothing. But then all the Covid-19 stuff started coming around and shutting everything down. And I told my self I’m done being lazy and unhealthy because if I would get Covid it might not end well with me weighing 320lbs.
